The cooperative

January 1980 we published the first 4-page edition, with the purpose to collect enough advertising in order to cover the publishing expenses.
In the ‘70/80’s the North-West area of Milan grew up without any planning.
Baggio (the area in Milan) has a heritage of volunteer work and our media project (the magazine) joined other already existing associations, with the aim to contribute to the development of the area.
It was a first target as "parents".

The monthly magazine

The magazine is published in 7,500 - 9,000 copies and has a variable number of pages (from 24 to 32), it is distributed free of charge in 200 points of the area (advertisers, associations, schools, newsagents) and is "sold-out" in about 7 days.
From each subscriber we receive a contribution of about euro 15,50. This covers the special editions we produce just for them, such as: postcards (Milanin Milanon), books (about the history of the west area of Milan) and books about the Milanese Dialectic Theatre (Teatro Dialettale Milanese).
Eleven postcards and a book are a way to thank our subscribers for their financing.
The most important thing for us is that the subscribers feel that they are actively taking part in our projects.
At the beginning of our activity we received donations from the readers; these donations were progressively transformed into subscriptions for accounting requirements.
